Once upon a time, I had a lovely home office. You know, a quiet little nook with a desk, a comfy chair, and just enough space to feel productive without distractions. It was my spot—where ideas flowed, emails were sent, and coffee was sipped in peace. Ah, those were the days…

Fast forward to today, and that quaint office of mine? Gone. Completely overrun by sequins, beads, doll heads, and more fabric swatches than I can count. The Lil Missy doll business didn’t just take over—it staged a full-on invasion. Bit by bit, my workspace started shrinking. First, a few shelves went up to “organize” things. Then a couple of boxes here and there. Before I knew it, I had to excavate my desk from under a mountain of doll supplies just to send an email. Eventually, I waved the white flag and surrendered.

These days, my desk and computer have found a new home in the living room. (It’s nice here—close to the kitchen for snack breaks and within earshot of the TV for “background noise,” of course.) Meanwhile, the room formerly known as my office? It’s now a floor-to-ceiling storage zone, lined with shelves stuffed with boxes, containers, and enough doll-building supplies to outfit a small army of crafters.

But let’s be real—am I stopping there? Not likely. Next, I’ve got my eye on the dining room. Who needs a space for formal dinners when you could have another craft station, right? I mean, there’s plenty of space for a few more shelves, maybe a table for assembling kits… and as a bonus, I’ll be closer to the snack stash in the kitchen.

So, while my “office” may be a distant memory, the Lil Missy empire is thriving! Who needs a designated workspace when the whole house can be a doll workshop? Just don’t ask where the silverware is—there’s a good chance it’s been replaced by beads.
